Snowflake Royalty

The tradition of representing the Snowflake Ski Club is so much more than wearing a crown and waving during parades, it is a commitment to the Club, as well as our community. Throughout the year, we support our junior jumpers, host events to promote the club, volunteer at area functions, and always try to find new ways to share information about our fantastic Ski Jump and Golf Course!

As an ambassador for the Ski Club, you will have the opportunity to showcase your winning personality, your brilliant smile, and your positive attitude while volunteering at community events and attending area functions and parades- all while wearing a CROWN!!

This opportunity is open to any student who is a SOPHOMORE or JUNIOR at Westby High School, or any surrounding communities. Please be aware that if chosen, there are expectations that you will be able and willing to travel to and from events frequently.

Please discuss this opportunity with your family- it is a “family affair” and they will need to be involved as well.

IMPORTANT DATES AND TIMES

Candidate Meeting: Saturday, February 21st – 12pm to 2pm at The Daily Brew in Westby

This is an important meeting, attended by the candidate and your parents/guardians. We will discuss the expectations and opportunities the royalty court will have over the year ahead, the interview process, timeline, what to wear, and address any questions you may have. If you change your mind after this meeting, and decide it may not be for you or your family – that’s ok! We love the chance to get to know everyone, no hard feelings!

Application Due: Saturday, February 28th

To prepare for the coronation, this application deadline is non-negotiable. The application is found at the end of this document and needs to be filled in in its entirety!

Rules/Expectations/Contract 2026

Each member of the court must make every attempt to be at functions. Your contract with the ski club is for one year (March - March) and should be a priority.
Your grades are important. I ask that you or your parent(s) discuss any issues with me- being a Snowflake representative should not interfere with your education.
We believe representing Snowflake is a learning and growing experience, because of that, we offer the opportunity for any chosen Miss Snowflake to apply for the Queen position the following year, please be aware this is not a guarantee that you will be chosen for a role on the court for a 2nd term. The Snowflake Ski Queen is a one-year term and cannot be repeated.
All Ski Club sanctioned appearances shall be made in suitable dress with tiara and sash, unless we have discussed alternate attire- DO NOT wear your tiara or sash to any events outside the ones that we have planned.
During this next year- we ask that you do not color your hair in any “un-natural colors”, keep piercings to ears or small nose studs only, and do not wear gauges or other large pieces of jewelry.
Consumption of alcoholic beverages, habit-forming drugs, use of tobacco or any other unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. If I as the royalty coordinator am made aware of any of these actions you may be asked to resign your position. * Parents we ask that you also use common sense when out in public.
If after signing this agreement, any member of the Snowflake Ski & Golf Club Royalty that does not comply with the above rules and regulations, she will be relieved of her duties by the Royalty Coordinator.
